Thank you for your interest in adopting a child with moderate to severe therapeutic or medical needs featured on the Gulf Coast JFCS Heart Gallery.

Heath is a bright and creative Caucasian 12‑year‑old who loves staying active. He enjoys reading, painting, and spending time outdoors, especially when he’s shooting hoops at the local park. Heath also loves learning about animals, with reptiles are his favorite.

With a big imagination and a love for play, Heath enjoys Five Nights at Freddy’s, trading basketball cards, and relaxing with TV or games on his phone. He is going into the 8th grade and is looking forward to taking more science classes, especially biology, in the upcoming school year. He thrives when he has opportunities to try new activities and express himself through art and movement.

During his Heart Art session, Heath created a piece titled The Leafy Night with the support of his guardian ad litem. He playfully named the gecko in the artwork “Bob.” The two have worked together for two and a half years and collaborated on this masterpiece using tissue paper, construction paper, stamps, clay, and other materials. Heath was so proud of his creation that he took it home to share with his art teacher at school. He shared that before participating in Heart Art, he never thought he was good at art. Now he realizes that he may have just never been given the opportunity to truly try before.

Heath is hoping for a loving, supportive family where he can continue to grow, explore his passions, and feel encouraged every step of the way. He dreams of a forever home filled with stability, understanding, and people who will cheer him on through life’s milestones.
